The Green Apple Day of Service took place on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Green Apple Day of Service gave parents, teachers, students, and local organizations the opportunity to transform all schools into healthy, safe and productive learning environments through local service projects. The RISE Demonstration center along with students from Excel Public Charter School and Freedom Farms DC participated by planting a community garden.
